Poor Hufflepuff. Everyone who wasn’t cunning, intelligent, or brave got sent to Hufflepuff

Ding-dong, you are wrong.
Everyone who had immense amounts of courage but, when given the choice, would decide that fighting is not as important as staying put to care for the people a war leaves in its wake ended up in Hufflepuff.
Everyone who was extremely intelligent but simply considered it a much more defining characteristic to be loyal and faithful to people they love, rather than taking pride in their intelligence*, ended up in Hufflepuff.
Everyone who wanted to do something important and had enough cunning to manipulate others and wind their way to the top, but never would because they considered it more important to be honest and earn their success fairly and through hard work ended up in Hufflepuff
Everyone who was brave, and smart, and cunning, but did not consider those traits to be the most important and defining aspects of their personality ended up in Hufflepuff.
Helga Hufflepuff made a conscious decision to accept only those students who were honest and loyal and true enough to themselves to say “No. Courage and intelligence and cunning are all valuable traits, but I will not define myself by them because I believe there are things more important than that.”
We are not your fucking leftovers.

this made me cry.

When I used to think about Voldemort’s horcruxes I imagined a soul divided in equal portions residing in the different horcruxes and Voldemort himself. I realised that this can’t be true in The Half-Blood Prince Slughorn describes making a horcrux as splitting ones soul in two. This means that when Riddle made his Diary into a horcrux he split his soul in half and physically removed one half from his body and placed it in the diary. This means that he only had half of his soul left when he made his next horcrux, Marvolo’s ring. This half would have been split in half leaving only a quarter in Voldemort’s body. This goes on and on the amount of soul remaining in Voldemort halving each time he makes a horcrux until he had only 1/128 or 0.78125% left in his body.  As shown in the graph above.  So next time you wonder why Voldemort could have done some of things he did, remember how little human he had left in him. I don’t know about you but I think that this is crazy.

Come on guys, I didn’t do maths for 14 notes

So are you telling me that Harry had more Voldemort than Voldemort had Voldemort?

Which is why it changed Ginny so much after the diary incident.

Always read the books. This is why they are so much better than the films.

He was meant to have a human death

to show he was just human

a twisted human

Above all my biggest complaint with that film.  If you don’t understand, filmmakers, why Harry Potter needs to see a body to know Voldemort is dead, then you don’t understand fucking Harry Potter.

Harry Potter and the Philosopher’s Stone - Harry at Ollivander’s

What if Harry Potter had been made into a TV Series instead of films and they made every book a new season and every chapter a new episode?

I keep saying  I want this! The BBC should do a five hour miniseries for every book!

PETITION FOR BBC TO DO THIS CAUSE THEY ARE SUPERIOR TO AMERICAN TELEVISION

#obviously #And then America can make their own version #Like they do with most of British TV

With minor changes here and there, and they’ll call it Abracadabra
